With over twenty years experience, José Volante is seasoned veteran in the music industry. Living in Dallas since 1984, he made a name for himself recording, producing, and as an artist receiving air play in college radio markets. After obtaining airplay in European markets he began producing recordings for other artists in the Dallas area. He has been a disc jockey, singer, songwriter, producer, publisher, promoter and personal manager of several acts since 1985. He has gained international status with a release of Psycho Drifter by rock group Wanted, which was used on a major soundtrack for National Lampoon’s release of The Last Resort distributed in Europe, Canada and HBO in the USA
José is trilingual. Because of his involvement in productions, promotions and artist management, he has had the opportunity to work with many artists, Spanish, Brazillian and English. He has worked with some of the best producers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area including three-time Grammy-Winning Engineer/producer Phil York; and in addition engineers Rick Rooney; and Patrick Maguire. Jose’ is a founding member of the Dallas Songwriters Association, and formerly Director of Media & Public Relations for the DSA, as well as production coordinator for Songs from the Soul of Service, a songwriting contest for the US military. He is also the production coordinator for the contests compilation CD, which was followed by a concert for soldiers at Fort Hood.
